From 2003 until 2005, Kriya Arts worked as Project Assistant on the Streets of Brighton with Zap Art, an internationally renowned creative producer known for bringing bold, immersive arts experiences to new audiences. The company specialised in large-scale street theatre, cultural interventions and avant-garde public performance that transformed unusual spaces into living works of art.
Working within Brighton’s vibrant early-2000s arts scene, Jolie Rose (then Pierce) assisted on projects that championed boundary-pushing artists, crowd-pulling spectacle and radical approaches to public engagement, during a period when street arts and live experiences were rapidly evolving into major cultural movements.
