This highly acclaimed immersive rendition of Irvine Welsh's infamous novel is his like being punched in the face, handed a shot of tequila, then given a hit on a bong. It's full blast and afterwards all we wanted to do was go out raving.
Irvine Welsh saw this production (put together by King's Head Theatre & IYFT, presented by James Seabright,) and responded, "I was shocked - and I wrote the f***ing thing!" which has to be the highest accolade a company could hope for.
Loud, dirty and proud, this is a no holds barred plunge into the dark and seedy world of Mark Renton, his less than desirable chums and their even less desirable habits. Smashing.
